Hey guys, now, Lockdown is INDEED my all time favorite PPV from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling

Now, it was suppose to be a Double Main Event inside the 6-Sides of Steel

However, when Dusty Rhodes who was NWA's Director of Authority when iMPACT! was on FSN cameout and along with his 2 Personal Secretaries Traci and the infamous Trinity, he made the announcement that the 6-Sides of Steel was going to be used for all 8 matches @ Lockdown.

Traci and Trinity were both excited and Mike Tenay and Don West were shocked and the fans were livid.

and so, I would like to know:

What was your reaction when TNA was going to make Lockdown an All Cage PPV and what were your thoughts on when Dusty Rhodes made that announcement on FSN's iMPACT!?

Please share your thoughts on this.

As I said on another thread, the concept is just ridiculous. 1 or 2 gimmick matches on any card is enough but a full card of gimmick matches is complete overload. I've always believed that if TNA focused more on building compelling storylines rather than spot-filled gimmick matches on PPV, they would receive far less criticism. I've been really harsh on Russo but that's only because I know that back during the Attitude era in WWF, thanks to Vince McMahon being his filter for angles, he gave us tremendous and compelling storylines.

My guess is that with the apparent hiring of Bruce Pritchard in the creative staff, Russo could receive some help and build better storylines. Hopefully, TNA would find the perfect balance between wrestling and storylines. They have the talent to pull it off. They only need the right writing staff.

Eusso wasn't doing bookings in 2005, he cameback to TNA in 2006 and right now, he's an agent, but Jarrett and Mantel did most of the bookings.

Dusty Rhodes did the bookings for the very 1st Lockdown and he left TNA in June of 2006 and went back to the WWE as a Booker.

But I think that Russo is doing pretty good right now.

Well, here's my reaction:

When I 1st heard Dusty Rhodes make the announcement to have all 8 matches inside the 6-Sides of Steel, I was like

YES!

I was SO glad to see them all in the 6-Sides of Steel since I am a HUGE Cage Match Fanatic.
