Why would you get an mp3 player that uses DRM? :S

To answer your questin the best I can, I don't know. All I know is that for Sony Ericson phones, they have a program called DRM Packer or DRM Packager, which basically you artificially add it onto your free mp3 from Limewire.

Well i dont know much about this stuff but i think DRM is the most likley one to work with limewire as it says that DRM can use most download site when you pay per song aswell as ripping CD's, unlike CD and itunes
But Limewire isn't a pay site

From my personal understanding, normal mp3 players should be able to play a song, regardless of whether it has DRM or not. I'm not 100% on that, but I think that's the case. Which would mean by getting a DRM mp3 player, you're limiting yourself to what songs you can add.

Once again, if anybody actually knows for sure, feel free to correct me.

What do you mean normal MP3 players, according to Argos my options in how the MP3 puts songs on are CD, DRM and itunes

CD - means the player can play songs ripped from a CD by your computer

DRM - means you can use most download sites where you pay per song (excluding itunes) aswell as ripping CD's

itunes - a site where you pay per song, can only be used with Apple ipods but you can also rip CDs.

So if i have limewire then what will most likley work is DRM, but then i got this info from a catalogue, so i'm not sure if it i'll be able to put the songs on.

Well these catalogues aren't going to come out and say, hey, download free songs. For my mp3 player (Zen Micro), it just plays any song I download off limewire. Not from a CD, not from iTunes, and no DRM stuff. And I'm not expert at mp3 players, so I can't really give any advice as to what to look out for to make sure it plays.
