So it's coming out soon, is anybody going to go watch it?

I doubt I will, but this is probably a movie I'll download. I just watched the original last week and I'm curious to see what modern technology and effects can do to enhance the movie, but it's not something I'm going to rush out to see. I have a feeling though that regardless of how good the actual movie is, the reviews will still be pretty bad Razz It's just how remakes tend to work out, especially horror movies.

I am a fan of the orginal, I think Freddy is the scariest movie monster ever. He kills you in your dreams, thats fucked up. I was not impressed with the Friday the 13th Remake last year, but I will probably see what they do with this franchise.

I think with Nightmare on Elm Street, you have all these dream scenes where you can put in modern effects and such and that's what intrigues me. Something like Friday the 13th you really can't do that much. Maybe some extra gore, but there's really not too much you can add to it.

First of all, the aciting was very bad, but that is to be expected. Second, I don't think they did enough to tell back story of Jason amd third, the story was just shitty. I feel they dropped the ball big time with that movie. Did you see Freddy vs. Jason? I enjoyed that one a lot.

Yeah I saw it. I felt like it had a lot of potential, but didn't quite live up to it. It got some harsh reviews that I don't feel it deserved, but yeah, it was an average movie for me. I was looking forward to Freddy vs Jason 2 with Ash, but it doesn't look like it'll happen.

The same director was behind the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake and I thought that one was great. Jason fell short and I hope Freddy does not.

No way, not all of them. Texas Chainsaw Massecre, better. Amityville Horror, far better.

Amityville Horror is a good point but not even Texas Chainsaw Massacre beats the original.
