The Montreal Wrestling Federation issued the following statement through Facebook:
Tomassino was present at Breaking Point for a tryout with WWE last Sunday. He was then asked to be present during RAW and Smackdown in Toronto and Hamilton.
The MWF has been informed that Tomassino received a developmental contract from WWE and he will soon join the FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) school with WWE.
Congratulations Tomassino! |
Has anyone seen this guy wrestle? Canadian's, I need your help on this one. |

| I've seen him wrestle and the guy is HUGE: 6'8'', 290 lbs. And he moves really well for a guy his size. Much more impressive than any big guy on the WWE roster, except for Taker of course. The only issue for him, in my book, is that his English needs some improvement, but as opposed to Sylvain Grenier or Maryse, who used their French-Canadian heritage for their gimmick, you can easily book a manager for Tomassino who'll do the job for him. Here's a pic of Tomassino: |

| Oh, he's always been a heel everywhere he wrestled. I'm even pretty sure that during his tryout, he was playing the heel, even if he was working with Franky The Mobster, who probably has the best mic skills in Quebec wrestling, by far. Franky can work with anybody and it's no surprise to me that Tomassino was able to get that developmental contract because of that match.
And he really had to impress WWE officials for Triple H to tell him: "Looking forward to see you work in WWE".
Edit: For those who saw Smackdown last Friday, both Tomassino and Franky The Mobster were working as Teddy Long's security force. |

| You said that he doesn't speak English so well, you know how he could really get some heat in the US? He does all of his promos in french and his mouth piece translates. USA chants would pop up everytime he spoke. |
